Brokkoli gullaydigan sabzavot deb ataladigan narsalardan biridir va tarkibiy qismlari tufayli ayniqsa sog'lom o'simlik navi sifatida baholanadi. Brokkoli flavonoidlar kabi ko'p miqdordagi ikkinchi darajali o'simlik moddalari bilan bir qatorda kaltsiy, temir, kaliy va natriy kabi minerallar bilan ham kurashishi mumkin.
